CrisisBoard is a real-time financial crisis monitoring dashboard. This policy explains what limited information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed CrisisBoard to be usable without creating an account and without collecting personal information whenever possible.
Usage data. We log standard server request data (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp, requested URL) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and apply rate limits. These logs are retained for a short period and used only for operational purposes.
Local storage. The site stores a small number of preferences in your browser (theme, language, notification preferences, dismissed alerts). This data never leaves your device and is not associated with any identifier we hold.
Contact form. If you send us a message via the Contact page, we receive the email address and message you provide. We use it only to respond to your inquiry.
Push notifications. If you enable browser notifications, your browser generates an endpoint we use to deliver alerts. You can disable this at any time in your browser settings.
CrisisBoard uses only functional first-party storage (localStorage and, where necessary, a session cookie) required for the site to work. If we enable advertising in the future, this policy will be updated with clear information on third-party ad cookies and your opt-out options.
The dashboard aggregates and interprets market and news data from third-party providers, including Yahoo Finance, GDELT, Polymarket, public central bank releases, and other open financial feeds. We do not receive personal data from these sources; we only consume public market and event data.
If analytics are enabled, we use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics (page views, country-level geography, device class) to understand usage trends. We do not build profiles of individual visitors and do not sell data to third parties.
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Contact form messages are retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry. You can request deletion at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page.
We use standard security practices (HTTPS, input validation, rate limiting) to protect the service. No system is perfectly secure. You acknowledge that you provide any information to CrisisBoard at your own risk.
CrisisBoard is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new Last updated date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, please reach us through the Contact page.
